James has many years of experience in Asset Management, Corporate Consulting and Wealth Management since 1972. He spent the previous eight years with Smith Barney (currently Morgan Stanley Smith Barney) in New Orleans implementing financial plans for clients. As a Financial Planning Specialist, he worked with a client base of Corporate, individual and small business owner clients to develop comprehensive strategies designed to grow their investments, retirement assets, as well as, assisting them in the implementation of retirement, corporate, succession and tuition planning. As a corporate consultant with International Profit Associates for over nine years, Jim assisted corporate and small business owners by performing operational efficiency, ROI, cost & tax analyses. He consulted these clients in the implementation of operational efficiency policies and procedures to increase productivity, revenue and retention of quality employees. He also assisted corporate and small business clients in business continuation planning to successfully exit their corporate interest or small business to transition into retirement. Jim has years of experience managing multiple small businesses and gained first hand knowledge of the challenges facing corporate and small business owners in their daily business operations.
Jim obtained his Accredited Asset Management Specialist designation from the College of Financial Planning in 2005. He Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Marketing from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1971. Past President of Franklinton Rotary Club & is a Paul Harris Fellow.
Jim holds Series 7 and 66 licenses.
As a husband and father, Jim has acquired “real” knowledge of the financial challenges faced by families today, especially those families with special needs children. Jim and his wife, Deborah, live in Franklinton where they raised their three children.
